Fabric Dyes

Our Dyes require a "Fixer" to set the dye, that you can find on our Auxiliary Chemicals page.

To order:

Dyes are available in 1oz, 2oz, 4oz, 8oz, 1lb, 5lbs and 10lbs sizes. Select size, then click on the "add to cart" button. If you don't want to return to your cart after every item you add, scroll down on the cart page and uncheck "Show me my shopping cart every time I order something."

NOTE: Our dyes are ONLY designed to dye plant based materials such as Cotton, Linen, Rayon, Hemp, etc. They also work well on Silk. They are NOT designed to dye wool or nylon and do not work AT ALL on polyester. Our Dyes require a "Fixer" to set the dye, that you can find on our Auxiliary Chemicals page.
Color patches on this screen only approximate the actual color. Current color swatches represent our colors used following our mixing reccomendations for strong/deep colors, but all colors have a wide range of shade possibilities, from pastel shades to deep and vibrant, depending on how they are mixed. Magenta

Magenta - Limited Edition *This dye powder is pure and very strong. When mixed into a liquid, this Magenta Dye is very 'gloopy'. As shown in the photo, it does not penetrate through fabric very well when mixed to a strong shade. It is a very beautiful color, however for best performance we recommend mixing it weaker than 4-6tsp* The sample photo shows Magenta mixed at 4tsp and 1/2 tsp of dye powder per cup of Urea water. Please note how the stronger shade had a difficult time spreading into the fabric.

The Color Swatch Sample is the color mixed deep (6 tsp/ cup ) and light (1/2 tsp/ cup). This is a very nice shade of brown! However, when mixed very strong, it has quite a bit of color separation, with plenty of red specks peaking through.
